Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity
Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
- Promote, support, and model creative and innovative thinking and inventiveness
- Engage students in exploring real-world issues and solving authentic problems using digital tools and resources
- Promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students’ conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes
- Model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments
ReflectionEducation has continued to grow, and will excel with the presence of technology. Student learning is not capped by the limitations of time or a pencil/paper structure. Instead, students can further their thinking with the following tools: Google Documents, Virtual Classroom, Technology Survey, & Google Presentations.

Future Learning GoalsWithin the semester, I learned how to use many new learning platforms. The one I have already started to push for my 2019-2020 classroom is the virtual classroom. I often have students who want to excel their learning or need a few pointers. This platform will allow me to promote student learning at their time. It will also help me to keep parents informed on what topics we are discussing and how to help their child at home. Mathematics is a tricky subject for many, but I want to use technology to promote a broader learning for all students. I would like to be able to easily navigate through resources to show students. The more understanding that I have, the better can I assist my students.
